  • They attacked Midian just as the LORD had commanded Moses, and they killed all the men. - Numbers 31:7


  • All five of the Midianite kings--Evi, Rekem, Zur, Hur, and Reba--died in the battle. They also killed Balaam son of Beor with the sword. - Numbers 31:8


  • Then the Israelite army captured the Midianite women and children and seized their cattle and flocks and all their wealth as plunder. - Numbers 31:9


  • The land of Reuben also included all the towns of the plain and the entire kingdom of Sihon. Sihon was the Amorite king who had reigned in Heshbon and was killed by Moses along with the chiefs of Midian--Evi, Rekem, Zur, Hur, and Reba--princes living in the region who were allied with Sihon. - Joshua 13:21


  • Then the Israelites said to Gideon, "Be our ruler! You and your son and your grandson will be our rulers, for you have rescued us from Midian." - Judges 8:22


  • That is the story of how Israel subdued Midian, which never recovered. Throughout the rest of Gideon's lifetime--about forty years--the land was at peace. - Judges 8:28

  • For God will break the chains that bind his people and the whip that scourges them, just as he did when he destroyed the army of Midian with Gideon's little band. - Isaiah 9:4


  • Vast caravans of camels will converge on you, the camels of Midian and Ephah. From Sheba they will bring gold and incense for the worship of the LORD. - Isaiah 60:6


  • I see the peoples of Cushan and Midian trembling in terror. - Habakkuk 3:7


  • When Moses heard that, he fled the country and lived as a foreigner in the land of Midian, where his two sons were born. - Acts 7:29
