(Read Master Part 1 First)

  • The disciples woke him up, shouting, "Master, Master, we're going to drown!" So Jesus rebuked the wind and the raging waves. The storm stopped and all was calm! - Luke 8:24

  • as though you were waiting for your master to return from the wedding feast. Then you will be ready to open the door and let him in the moment he arrives and knocks. - Luke 12:36

  • And the Lord replied, "I'm talking to any faithful, sensible servant to whom the master gives the responsibility of managing his household and feeding his family. - Luke 12:42

  • If the master returns and finds that the servant has done a good job, there will be a reward. - Luke 12:43

  • I assure you, the master will put that servant in charge of all he owns. - Luke 12:44

  • But if the servant thinks, `My master won't be back for a while,' and begins oppressing the other servants, partying, and getting drunk-- - Luke 12:45

  • well, the master will return unannounced and unexpected. He will tear the servant apart and banish him with the unfaithful. - Luke 12:46

  • "The servant returned and told his master what they had said. His master was angry and said, `Go quickly into the streets and alleys of the city and invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, and the blind.' - Luke 14:21

  • So his master said, `Go out into the country lanes and behind the hedges and urge anyone you find to come, so that the house will be full. - Luke 14:23

  • "No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other, or be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money." - Luke 16:13

  • He must first prepare his master's meal and serve him his supper before eating his own. - Luke 17:8

  • crying out, "Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!" - Luke 17:13

  • " `But, master,' they said, `that servant has enough already!' - Luke 19:25

  • he said, "Dip some out and take it to the master of ceremonies." So they followed his instructions. - John 2:8

  • When the master of ceremonies tasted the water that was now wine, not knowing where it had come from (though, of course, the servants knew), he called the bridegroom over. - John 2:9

  • How true it is that a servant is not greater than the master. Nor are messengers more important than the one who sends them. - John 13:16

  • I no longer call you servants, because a master doesn't confide in his servants. Now you are my friends, since I have told you everything the Father told me. - John 15:15
