(Read Loaves Part 1 First)

  • Jesus took the five loaves and two fish, looked up toward heaven, and asked God's blessing on the food. Breaking the loaves into pieces, he kept giving the bread and fish to the disciples to give to the people. - Luke 9:16


  • Then, teaching them more about prayer, he used this illustration: "Suppose you went to a friend's house at midnight, wanting to borrow three loaves of bread. You would say to him, - Luke 11:5


  • "There's a young boy here with five barley loaves and two fish. But what good is that with this huge crowd?" - John 6:9


  • Then Jesus took the loaves, gave thanks to God, and passed them out to the people. Afterward he did the same with the fish. And they all ate until they were full. - John 6:11


  • There were only five barley loaves to start with, but twelve baskets were filled with the pieces of bread the people did not eat! - John 6:13


  • There were two rooms in this tent. In the first room were a lampstand, a table, and loaves of holy bread on the table. This was called the Holy Place. - Hebrews 9:2


  • And a voice from among the four living beings said, "A loaf of wheat bread or three loaves of barley for a day's pay.* And don't waste* the olive oil and wine."1 - Revelation 6:6
