(Read Light Part 1 First)

  • "But people who are not aware that they are doing wrong will be punished only lightly. Much is required from those to whom much is given, and much more is required from those to whom much more is given. - Luke 12:48

  • "Or suppose a woman has ten valuable silver coins* and loses one. Won't she light a lamp and look in every corner of the house and sweep every nook and cranny until she finds it?1 - Luke 15:8

  • The light from the sun was gone. And suddenly, the thick veil hanging in the Temple was torn apart. - Luke 23:45

  • Life itself was in him, and this life gives light to everyone. - John 1:4

  • The light shines through the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it. - John 1:5

  • to tell everyone about the light so that everyone might believe because of his testimony. - John 1:7

  • John himself was not the light; he was only a witness to the light. - John 1:8

  • The one who is the true light, who gives light to everyone, was going to come into the world. - John 1:9

  • Their judgment is based on this fact: The light from heaven came into the world, but they loved the darkness more than the light, for their actions were evil. - John 3:19

  • They hate the light because they want to sin in the darkness. They stay away from the light for fear their sins will be exposed and they will be punished. - John 3:20

  • But those who do what is right come to the light gladly, so everyone can see that they are doing what God wants." - John 3:21

  • Jesus said to the people, "I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won't be stumbling through the darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life." - John 8:12

  • But while I am still here in the world, I am the light of the world." - John 9:5

  • Jesus replied, "There are twelve hours of daylight every day. As long as it is light, people can walk safely. They can see because they have the light of this world. - John 11:9

  • Only at night is there danger of stumbling because there is no light." - John 11:10

  • Jesus replied, "My light will shine out for you just a little while longer. Walk in it while you can, so you will not stumble when the darkness falls. If you walk in the darkness, you cannot see where you are going. - John 12:35

  • Believe in the light while there is still time; then you will become children of the light." After saying these things, Jesus went away and was hidden from them. - John 12:36
