(Read Justice Part 1 First)

  • For I know the vast number of your sins and rebellions. You oppress good people by taking bribes and deprive the poor of justice in the courts. - Amos 5:12

  • Hate evil and love what is good; remodel your courts into true halls of justice. Perhaps even yet the LORD God Almighty will have mercy on his people who remain.*2 - Amos 5:15

  • Instead, I want to see a mighty flood of justice, a river of righteous living that will never run dry. - Amos 5:24

  • Can horses gallop over rocks? Can oxen be used to plow rocks? Stupid even to ask--but that's how stupid you are when you turn justice into poison and make bitter the sweet fruit of righteousness. - Amos 6:12

  • You have wearied the LORD with your words. "Wearied him?" you ask. "How have we wearied him?" You have wearied him by suggesting that the LORD favors evildoers since he does not punish them. You have wearied him by asking, "Where is the God of justice?" - Malachi 2:17

  • At that time I will put you on trial. I will be a ready witness against all sorcerers and adulterers and liars. I will speak against those who cheat employees of their wages, who oppress widows and orphans, or who deprive the foreigners living among you of justice, for these people do not fear me," says the LORD Almighty. - Malachi 3:5

  • God blesses those who are hungry and thirsty for justice, for they will receive it in full. - Matthew 5:6

  • "Look at my Servant, whom I have chosen. He is my Beloved, and I am very pleased with him. I will put my Spirit upon him, and he will proclaim justice to the nations.2 - Matthew 12:18

  • He will not crush those who are weak, or quench the smallest hope, until he brings full justice with his final victory.4 - Matthew 12:20

  • "But how terrible it will be for you Pharisees! For you are careful to tithe even the tiniest part of your income,* but you completely forget about justice and the love of God. You should tithe, yes, but you should not leave undone the more important things.2 - Luke 11:42

  • A widow of that city came to him repeatedly, appealing for justice against someone who had harmed her. - Luke 18:3

  • `but this woman is driving me crazy. I'm going to see that she gets justice, because she is wearing me out with her constant requests!' " - Luke 18:5
