  • After Elon died, Abdon son of Hillel, from Pirathon, became Israel's judge. - Judges 12:13

  • He had forty sons and thirty grandsons, who rode on seventy donkeys. He was Israel's judge for eight years. - Judges 12:14

  • Samson was Israel's judge for twenty years, while the Philistines ruled the land. - Judges 15:20

  • "Stop acting so proud and haughty! Don't speak with such arrogance! The LORD is a God who knows your deeds; and he will judge you for what you have done. - 1 Samuel 2:3

  • Each year he traveled around, setting up his court first at Bethel, then at Gilgal, and then at Mizpah. He judged the people of Israel at each of these places. - 1 Samuel 7:16

  • But the LORD said to Samuel, "Don't judge by his appearance or height, for I have rejected him. The LORD doesn't make decisions the way you do! People judge by outward appearance, but the LORD looks at a person's thoughts and intentions." - 1 Samuel 16:7

  • May the LORD judge which of us is right and punish the guilty one. He is my advocate, and he will rescue me from your power!" - 1 Samuel 24:15

  • from the time I appointed judges to rule my people. And I will keep you safe from all your enemies. " `And now the LORD declares that he will build a house for you--a dynasty of kings! - 2 Samuel 7:11

  • I wish I were the judge. Then people could bring their problems to me, and I would give them justice!" - 2 Samuel 15:4

  • then hear from heaven and judge between your servants--the accuser and the accused. Punish the guilty party and acquit the one who is innocent. - 1 Kings 8:32
