  • This message came to Jeremiah from the LORD early in the reign of Zedekiah* son of Josiah, king of Judah.1 - Jeremiah 27:1


  • This is the message the LORD gave Jeremiah when Jehoiakim son of Josiah was king of Judah: - Jeremiah 35:1


  • During the fourth year that Jehoiakim son of Josiah was king in Judah,* the LORD gave this message to Jeremiah:1 - Jeremiah 36:1


  • "Get a scroll, and write down all my messages against Israel, Judah, and the other nations. Begin with the first message back in the days of Josiah, and write down every message you have given, right up to the present time. - Jeremiah 36:2


  • This happened on the day of sacred fasting held in late autumn,* during the fifth year of the reign of Jehoiakim son of Josiah. People from all over Judah came to attend the services at the Temple on that day.2 - Jeremiah 36:9


  • Zedekiah son of Josiah succeeded Jehoiachin* son of Jehoiakim as the king of Judah. He was appointed by King Nebuchadnezzar* of Babylon.1 - Jeremiah 37:1


  • The prophet Jeremiah gave a message to Baruch son of Neriah in the fourth year of the reign of Jehoiakim son of Josiah,* after Baruch had written down everything Jeremiah had dictated to him. He said,1 - Jeremiah 45:1


  • This message concerning Egypt was given in the fourth year of the reign of Jehoiakim son of Josiah,* the king of Judah, on the occasion of the battle of Carchemish when Pharaoh Neco, king of Egypt, and his army were defeated beside the Euphrates River by King Nebuchadnezzar* of Babylon.1 - Jeremiah 46:2


  • The LORD gave these messages to Zephaniah when Josiah son of Amon was king of Judah. Zephaniah was the son of Cushi, son of Gedaliah, son of Amariah, son of Hezekiah. - Zephaniah 1:1


  • "Heldai, Tobijah, and Jedaiah will bring gifts of silver and gold from the Jews exiled in Babylon. As soon as they arrive, meet them at the home of Josiah son of Zephaniah. - Zechariah 6:10


  • "The crown will be a memorial in the Temple of the LORD to honor those who gave it--Heldai,* Tobijah, Jedaiah, and Josiah* son of Zephaniah."6 - Zechariah 6:14


  • Hezekiah was the father of Manasseh. Manasseh was the father of Amos.* Amos was the father of Josiah.4 - Matthew 1:10


  • Josiah was the father of Jehoiachin* and his brothers (born at the time of the exile to Babylon).5 - Matthew 1:11
