(Read Joseph Part 1 First)

  • Then he sent someone to Egypt ahead of them-- Joseph, who was sold as a slave. - Psalms 105:17

  • Until the time came to fulfill his word, the LORD tested Joseph's character. - Psalms 105:19

  • Joseph was put in charge of all the king's household; he became ruler over all the king's possessions. - Psalms 105:21

  • This is what the Sovereign LORD says: "Follow these instructions for dividing the land for the twelve tribes of Israel: The tribe of Joseph will be given two shares of land.*4 - Ezekiel 47:13

  • On the east wall, also 1 miles long, the gates will be named for Joseph, Benjamin, and Dan. - Ezekiel 48:32

  • Jacob was the father of Joseph, the husband of Mary. Mary was the mother of Jesus, who is called the Messiah. - Matthew 1:16

  • Now this is how Jesus the Messiah was born. His mother, Mary, was engaged to be married to Joseph. But while she was still a virgin, she became pregnant by the Holy Spirit. - Matthew 1:18

  • Joseph, her fianc´┐Ż, being a just man, decided to break the engagement quietly, so as not to disgrace her publicly. - Matthew 1:19

  • When Joseph woke up, he did what the angel of the Lord commanded. He brought Mary home to be his wife, - Matthew 1:24

  • but she remained a virgin until her son was born. And Joseph named him Jesus. - Matthew 1:25

  • After the wise men were gone, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream. "Get up and flee to Egypt with the child and his mother," the angel said. "Stay there until I tell you to return, because Herod is going to try to kill the child." - Matthew 2:13

  • That night Joseph left for Egypt with the child and Mary, his mother, - Matthew 2:14

  • When Herod died, an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt and told him, - Matthew 2:19

  • So Joseph returned immediately to Israel with Jesus and his mother. - Matthew 2:21

  • He's just a carpenter's son, and we know Mary, his mother, and his brothers--James, Joseph, Simon, and Judas. - Matthew 13:55

  • Among them were Mary Magdalene, Mary (the mother of James and Joseph), and Zebedee's wife, the mother of James and John. - Matthew 27:56

  • As evening approached, Joseph, a rich man from Arimathea who was one of Jesus' followers, - Matthew 27:57
