  • When David heard what was happening, he mobilized all Israel, crossed the Jordan River, and led the army to Helam. The Arameans positioned themselves there in battle formation and then attacked David. - 2 Samuel 10:17


  • I will stop at the shallows of the Jordan River* and wait there for a message from you. Let me know what happens in Jerusalem before I disappear into the wilderness."1 - 2 Samuel 15:28


  • The king and all who were with him grew weary along the way, so they rested when they reached the Jordan River.*3 - 2 Samuel 16:14


  • "Quick!" he told them. "Find David and urge him not to stay at the shallows of the Jordan River* tonight. He must go across at once into the wilderness beyond. Otherwise he will die and his entire army with him."2 - 2 Samuel 17:16


  • Then the two men crawled out of the well and hurried on to King David. "Quick!" they told him, "cross the Jordan tonight!" And they told him how Ahithophel had advised that he be captured and killed. - 2 Samuel 17:21


  • So David and all the people with him went across the Jordan River during the night, and they were all on the other bank before dawn. - 2 Samuel 17:22

  • A thousand men from the tribe of Benjamin were with him, including Ziba, the servant of Saul, and Ziba's fifteen sons and twenty servants. They rushed down to the Jordan to arrive ahead of the king. - 2 Samuel 19:17


  • Barzillai of Gilead now arrived from Rogelim to conduct the king across the Jordan. - 2 Samuel 19:31


  • So all the people crossed the Jordan with the king. After David had blessed and embraced him, Barzillai returned to his own home. - 2 Samuel 19:39


  • But the men of Israel complained to the king that the men of Judah had gotten to do most of the work in helping him cross the Jordan. - 2 Samuel 19:41


  • So the men of Israel deserted David and followed Sheba. But the men of Judah stayed with their king and escorted him from the Jordan River to Jerusalem. - 2 Samuel 20:2


  • First they crossed the Jordan and camped at Aroer, south of the town in the valley, in the direction of Gad. Then they went on to Jazer, - 2 Samuel 24:5


  • "And remember Shimei son of Gera, the man from Bahurim in Benjamin. He cursed me with a terrible curse as I was fleeing to Mahanaim. When he came down to meet me at the Jordan River, I swore by the LORD that I would not kill him. - 1 Kings 2:8


  • The king had them cast in clay molds in the Jordan Valley between Succoth and Zarethan. - 1 Kings 7:46
