(Read Jesus Part 1 First)
He had been taught the way of the Lord and talked to others with great enthusiasm and accuracy about Jesus. However, he knew only about John's baptism. - Acts 18:25
He refuted all the Jews with powerful arguments in public debate. Using the Scriptures, he explained to them, "The Messiah you are looking for is Jesus." - Acts 18:28
Paul said, "John's baptism was to demonstrate a desire to turn from sin and turn to God. John himself told the people to believe in Jesus, the one John said would come later." - Acts 19:4
As soon as they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. - Acts 19:5
A team of Jews who were traveling from town to town casting out evil spirits tried to use the name of the Lord Jesus. The incantation they used was this: "I command you by Jesus, whom Paul preaches, to come out!" - Acts 19:13
But when they tried it on a man possessed by an evil spirit, the spirit replied, "I know Jesus, and I know Paul. But who are you?" - Acts 19:15
The story of what happened spread quickly all through Ephesus, to Jews and Greeks alike. A solemn fear descended on the city, and the name of the Lord Jesus was greatly honored. - Acts 19:17
I have had one message for Jews and Gentiles alike--the necessity of turning from sin and turning to God, and of faith in our Lord Jesus. - Acts 20:21
But my life is worth nothing unless I use it for doing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus--the work of telling others the Good News about God's wonderful kindness and love. - Acts 20:24
And I have been a constant example of how you can help the poor by working hard. You should remember the words of the Lord Jesus: `It is more blessed to give than to receive.' " - Acts 20:35
But he said, "Why all this weeping? You are breaking my heart! For I am ready not only to be jailed at Jerusalem but also to die for the sake of the Lord Jesus." - Acts 21:13
" `Who are you, sir?' I asked. And he replied, `I am Jesus of Nazareth, the one you are persecuting.' - Acts 22:8
It was something about their religion and about someone called Jesus who died, but whom Paul insists is alive. - Acts 25:19
"I used to believe that I ought to do everything I could to oppose the followers of Jesus of Nazareth.*1 - Acts 26:9
" `Who are you, sir?' I asked. "And the Lord replied, `I am Jesus, the one you are persecuting. - Acts 26:15
So a time was set, and on that day a large number of people came to Paul's house. He told them about the Kingdom of God and taught them about Jesus from the Scriptures--from the five books of Moses and the books of the prophets. He began lecturing in the morning and went on into the evening. - Acts 28:23
It is the Good News about his Son, Jesus, who came as a man, born into King David's royal family line. - Romans 1:3
