(Read Jesus Part 1 First)

  • As soon as Judas had eaten the bread, Satan entered into him. Then Jesus told him, "Hurry. Do it now." - John 13:27

  • None of the others at the table knew what Jesus meant. - John 13:28

  • Since Judas was their treasurer, some thought Jesus was telling him to go and pay for the food or to give some money to the poor. - John 13:29

  • As soon as Judas left the room, Jesus said, "The time has come for me, the Son of Man, to enter into my glory, and God will receive glory because of all that happens to me. - John 13:31

  • Simon Peter said, "Lord, where are you going?" And Jesus replied, "You can't go with me now, but you will follow me later." - John 13:36

  • Jesus answered, "Die for me? No, before the rooster crows tomorrow morning, you will deny three times that you even know me. - John 13:38

  • Jesus told him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me. - John 14:6

  • Jesus replied, "Philip, don't you even yet know who I am, even after all the time I have been with you? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father! So why are you asking to see him? - John 14:9

  • Jesus replied, "All those who love me will do what I say. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and live with them. - John 14:23

  • Jesus realized they wanted to ask him, so he said, "Are you asking yourselves what I meant? I said in just a little while I will be gone, and you won't see me anymore. Then, just a little while after that, you will see me again. - John 16:19

  • Jesus asked, "Do you finally believe? - John 16:31

  • When Jesus had finished saying all these things, he looked up to heaven and said, "Father, the time has come. Glorify your Son so he can give glory back to you. - John 17:1

  • After saying these things, Jesus crossed the Kidron Valley with his disciples and entered a grove of olive trees. - John 18:1

  • Judas, the betrayer, knew this place, because Jesus had gone there many times with his disciples. - John 18:2

  • Jesus fully realized all that was going to happen to him. Stepping forward to meet them, he asked, "Whom are you looking for?" - John 18:4

  • "Jesus of Nazareth," they replied. "I am he,"* Jesus said. Judas was standing there with them when Jesus identified himself.1 - John 18:5

  • "I told you that I am he," Jesus said. "And since I am the one you want, let these others go." - John 18:8
