(Read Jesus Part 1 First)

  • When the Lord Jesus had finished talking with them, he was taken up into heaven and sat down in the place of honor at God's right hand. - Mark 16:19

  • You will become pregnant and have a son, and you are to name him Jesus. - Luke 1:31

  • Eight days later, when the baby was circumcised, he was named Jesus, the name given him by the angel even before he was conceived. - Luke 2:21

  • That day the Spirit led him to the Temple. So when Mary and Joseph came to present the baby Jesus to the Lord as the law required, - Luke 2:27

  • Joseph and Mary were amazed at what was being said about Jesus. - Luke 2:33

  • She came along just as Simeon was talking with Mary and Joseph, and she began praising God. She talked about Jesus to everyone who had been waiting for the promised King to come and deliver Jerusalem�MDNM�. - Luke 2:38

  • When Jesus' parents had fulfilled all the requirements of the law of the Lord, they returned home to Nazareth in Galilee. - Luke 2:39

  • Every year Jesus' parents went to Jerusalem for the Passover festival. - Luke 2:41

  • When Jesus was twelve years old, they attended the festival as usual. - Luke 2:42

  • After the celebration was over, they started home to Nazareth, but Jesus stayed behind in Jerusalem. His parents didn't miss him at first, - Luke 2:43

  • So Jesus grew both in height and in wisdom, and he was loved by God and by all who knew him. - Luke 2:52

  • One day when the crowds were being baptized, Jesus himself was baptized. As he was praying, the heavens opened, - Luke 3:21

  • Jesus was about thirty years old when he began his public ministry. Jesus was known as the son of Joseph. Joseph was the son of Heli. - Luke 3:23

  • Then Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, left the Jordan River. He was led by the Spirit to go out into the wilderness, - Luke 4:1

  • But Jesus told him, "No! The Scriptures say, `People need more than bread for their life.'* "1 - Luke 4:4

  • Jesus replied, "The Scriptures say, `You must worship the Lord your God; serve only him.'* "2 - Luke 4:8

  • Jesus responded, "The Scriptures also say, `Do not test the Lord your God.'* "5 - Luke 4:12
