(Read Jerusalem Part 1 First)

  • That same day two of Jesus' followers were walking to the village of Emmaus, seven miles* out of Jerusalem.3 - Luke 24:13

  • Then one of them, Cleopas, replied, "You must be the only person in Jerusalem who hasn't heard about all the things that have happened there the last few days." - Luke 24:18

  • And within the hour they were on their way back to Jerusalem, where the eleven disciples and the other followers of Jesus were gathered. When they arrived, they were greeted with the report, - Luke 24:33

  • With my authority, take this message of repentance to all the nations, beginning in Jerusalem: `There is forgiveness of sins for all who turn to me.' - Luke 24:47

  • They worshiped him and* then returned to Jerusalem filled with great joy.4 - Luke 24:52

  • This was the testimony of John when the Jewish leaders sent priests and Temple assistants* from Jerusalem to ask John whether he claimed to be the Messiah.4 - John 1:19

  • It was time for the annual Passover celebration, and Jesus went to Jerusalem. - John 2:13

  • Because of the miraculous signs he did in Jerusalem at the Passover celebration, many people were convinced that he was indeed the Messiah. - John 2:23

  • Afterward Jesus and his disciples left Jerusalem, but they stayed in Judea for a while and baptized there. - John 3:22

  • So tell me, why is it that you Jews insist that Jerusalem is the only place of worship, while we Samaritans claim it is here at Mount Gerizim,* where our ancestors worshiped?"2 - John 4:20

  • Jesus replied, "Believe me, the time is coming when it will no longer matter whether you worship the Father here or in Jerusalem. - John 4:21

  • The Galileans welcomed him, for they had been in Jerusalem at the Passover celebration and had seen all his miraculous signs. - John 4:45

  • Afterward Jesus returned to Jerusalem for one of the Jewish holy days. - John 5:1

  • Some of the people who lived there in Jerusalem said among themselves, "Isn't this the man they are trying to kill? - John 7:25

  • It was now winter, and Jesus was in Jerusalem at the time of Hanukkah.*2 - John 10:22

  • Bethany was only a few miles* down the road from Jerusalem,3 - John 11:18

  • As a result, Jesus stopped his public ministry among the people and left Jerusalem. He went to a place near the wilderness, to the village of Ephraim, and stayed there with his disciples. - John 11:54
