  • When Moses reported the LORD's words to the Israelites, there was much sorrow among the people. - Numbers 14:39


  • If you native Israelites want to present an offering by fire that is pleasing to the LORD, you must follow all these instructions. - Numbers 15:13


  • Native Israelites and foreigners are the same before the LORD and are subject to the same laws. This is a permanent law for you. - Numbers 15:15


  • This same law applies both to native Israelites and the foreigners living among you. - Numbers 15:29


  • "But those who brazenly violate the LORD's will, whether native Israelites or foreigners, blaspheme the LORD, and they must be cut off from the community. - Numbers 15:30


  • This would warn the Israelites that no unauthorized man--no one who was not a descendant of Aaron--should ever enter the LORD's presence to burn incense. If anyone did, the same thing would happen to him as happened to Korah and his followers. Thus, the LORD's instructions to Moses were carried out. - Numbers 16:40


  • I myself have chosen your fellow Levites from among the Israelites to be your special assistants. They are dedicated to the LORD for service in the Tabernacle. - Numbers 18:6


  • "All the other offerings presented to me by the Israelites by lifting them up before the altar also belong to you as your regular share. Any member of your family who is ceremonially clean, male and female alike, may eat of these offerings. - Numbers 18:11


  • "From now on, Israelites other than the priests and Levites are to stay away from the Tabernacle. If they come too near, they will be judged guilty and die. - Numbers 18:22


  • The Levites must serve at the Tabernacle, and they will be held responsible for any offenses against it. This is a permanent law among you. But the Levites will receive no inheritance of land among the Israelites, - Numbers 18:23


  • because I have given them the Israelites' tithes, which have been set apart as offerings to the LORD. This will be the Levites' share. That is why I said they would receive no inheritance of land among the Israelites." - Numbers 18:24


  • "Say this to the Levites: `When you receive the tithes from the Israelites, give a tenth of the tithes you receive--a tithe of the tithe--to the LORD as a gift. - Numbers 18:26


  • You must present one-tenth of the tithe received from the Israelites as a gift to the LORD. From this you must present the LORD's portion to Aaron the priest. - Numbers 18:28

  • The Canaanite king of Arad, who lived in the Negev, heard that the Israelites were approaching on the road to Atharim. So he attacked the Israelites and took some of them as prisoners. - Numbers 21:1


  • The LORD heard their request and gave them victory over the Canaanites. The Israelites completely destroyed them and their towns, and the place has been called Hormah* ever since.2 - Numbers 21:3


  • The Israelites traveled next to Oboth and camped there. - Numbers 21:10
