(Read Isaiah Part 1 First)

  • and he was now returning. Seated in his carriage, he was reading aloud from the book of the prophet Isaiah. - Acts 8:28

  • Philip ran over and heard the man reading from the prophet Isaiah; so he asked, "Do you understand what you are reading?" - Acts 8:30

  • The eunuch asked Philip, "Was Isaiah talking about himself or someone else?" - Acts 8:34

  • But after they had argued back and forth among themselves, they left with this final word from Paul: "The Holy Spirit was right when he said to our ancestors through Isaiah the prophet, - Acts 28:25

  • Concerning Israel, Isaiah the prophet cried out, "Though the people of Israel are as numerous as the sand on the seashore, only a small number will be saved.12 - Romans 9:27

  • And Isaiah said in another place, "If the Lord Almighty had not spared a few of us, we would have been wiped out as completely as Sodom and Gomorrah."*1 - Romans 9:29

  • But not everyone welcomes the Good News, for Isaiah the prophet said, "Lord, who has believed our message?"*10 - Romans 10:16

  • And later Isaiah spoke boldly for God: "I was found by people who were not looking for me. I showed myself to those who were not asking for me."*13 - Romans 10:20

  • And the prophet Isaiah said, "The heir to David's throne* will come, and he will rule over the Gentiles. They will place their hopes on him."*5 - Romans 15:12

  • That is what Isaiah meant when he prophesied, "Rejoice, O childless woman! Break forth into loud and joyful song, even though you never gave birth to a child. For the woman who could bear no children now has more than all the other women!"*6 - Galatians 4:27
