  • They swarm over the city and run along its walls. They enter all the houses, climbing like thieves through the windows. - Joel 2:9


  • At their religious festivals, they lounge around in clothing stolen from their debtors. In the house of their god, they present offerings of wine purchased with stolen money. - Amos 2:8


  • And I will destroy the beautiful homes of the wealthy--their winter mansions and their summer houses, too--all their palaces filled with ivory. I, the LORD, have spoken!" - Amos 3:15
