  • There is treasure in the house of the godly, but the earnings of the wicked bring trouble. - Proverbs 15:6

  • I bought slaves, both men and women, and others were born into my household. I also owned great herds and flocks, more than any of the kings who lived in Jerusalem before me. - Ecclesiastes 2:7

  • Then I said, "Lord, how long must I do this?" And he replied, "Until their cities are destroyed, with no one left in them. Until their houses are deserted and the whole country is an utter wasteland. - Isaiah 6:11

  • Wild animals of the desert will move into the ruined city. The houses will be haunted by howling creatures. Ostriches will live among the ruins, and wild goats will come there to dance. - Isaiah 13:21
