(Read Heaven Part 1 First)

  • And when Jesus came up out of the water, he saw the heavens split open and the Holy Spirit descending like a dove on him. - Mark 1:10

  • And a voice came from heaven saying, "You are my beloved Son, and I am fully pleased with you." - Mark 1:11

  • Jesus took the five loaves and two fish, looked up toward heaven, and asked God's blessing on the food. Breaking the loaves into pieces, he kept giving the bread and fish to the disciples to give to the people. - Mark 6:41

  • And looking up to heaven, he sighed and commanded, "Be opened!"*10 - Mark 7:34

  • When the Pharisees heard that Jesus had arrived, they came to argue with him. Testing him to see if he was from God, they demanded, "Give us a miraculous sign from heaven to prove yourself." - Mark 8:11

  • If your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better to enter heaven* with only one hand than to go into the unquenchable fires of hell with two hands.*1 - Mark 9:43

  • If your foot causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better to enter heaven with only one foot than to be thrown into hell with two feet.*2 - Mark 9:45

  • Jesus felt genuine love for this man as he looked at him. "You lack only one thing," he told him. "Go and sell all you have and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me." - Mark 10:21

  • Bless the coming kingdom of our ancestor David! Praise God in highest heaven!"*2 - Mark 11:10

  • But when you are praying, first forgive anyone you are holding a grudge against, so that your Father in heaven will forgive your sins, too.*"5 - Mark 11:25

  • "Did John's baptism come from heaven or was it merely human? Answer me!" - Mark 11:30

  • They talked it over among themselves. "If we say it was from heaven, he will ask why we didn't believe him. - Mark 11:31

  • For when the dead rise, they won't be married. They will be like the angels in heaven. - Mark 12:25

  • the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of heaven will be shaken.*6 - Mark 13:25

  • And he will send forth his angels to gather together his chosen ones from all over the world--from the farthest ends of the earth and heaven. - Mark 13:27

  • Heaven and earth will disappear, but my words will remain forever. - Mark 13:31

  • "However, no one knows the day or hour when these things will happen, not even the angels in heaven or the Son himself. Only the Father knows. - Mark 13:32
