(Read Heaven Part 1 First)

  • The upper stories of the LORD's home are in the heavens, while its foundation is on the earth. He draws up water from the oceans and pours it down as rain on the land. The LORD is his name! - Amos 9:6

  • And Jonah answered, "I am a Hebrew, and I worship the LORD, the God of heaven, who made the sea and the land." - Obadiah 1:9

  • Look! The LORD is coming! He leaves his throne in heaven and comes to earth, walking on the high places. - Micah 1:3

  • I see God, the Holy One, moving across the deserts from Edom* and Mount Paran.* His brilliant splendor fills the heavens, and the earth is filled with his praise! What a wonderful God he is!2 - Habakkuk 3:3

  • He replied, "These are the four spirits* of heaven who stand before the Lord of all the earth. They are going out to do his work.1 - Zechariah 6:5

  • This* message concerning the fate of Israel came from the LORD: "This message is from the LORD, who stretched out the heavens, laid the foundations of the earth, and formed the spirit within humans.1 - Zechariah 12:1

  • Bring all the tithes into the storehouse so there will be enough food in my Temple. If you do," says the LORD Almighty, "I will open the windows of heaven for you. I will pour out a blessing so great you won't have enough room to take it in! Try it! Let me prove it to you! - Malachi 3:10

  • "Turn from your sins and turn to God, because the Kingdom of Heaven is near.*"1 - Matthew 3:2

  • After his baptism, as Jesus came up out of the water, the heavens were opened and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and settling on him. - Matthew 3:16

  • And a voice from heaven said, "This is my beloved Son, and I am fully pleased with him." - Matthew 3:17

  • From then on, Jesus began to preach, "Turn from your sins and turn to God, because the Kingdom of Heaven is near.*"8 - Matthew 4:17

  • "God blesses those who realize their need for him,* for the Kingdom of Heaven is given to them.1 - Matthew 5:3

  • God blesses those who are persecuted because they live for God, for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs. - Matthew 5:10

  • Be happy about it! Be very glad! For a great reward awaits you in heaven. And remember, the ancient prophets were persecuted, too. - Matthew 5:12

  • In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father. - Matthew 5:16

  • I assure you, until heaven and earth disappear, even the smallest detail of God's law will remain until its purpose is achieved. - Matthew 5:18

  • So if you break the smallest commandment and teach others to do the same, you will be the least in the Kingdom of Heaven. But anyone who obeys God's laws and teaches them will be great in the Kingdom of Heaven. - Matthew 5:19
