  • That is why the LORD says, "Turn to me now, while there is time! Give me your hearts. Come with fasting, weeping, and mourning. - Joel 2:12

  • Don't tear your clothing in your grief; instead, tear your hearts." Return to the LORD your God, for he is gracious and merciful. He is not easily angered. He is filled with kindness and is eager not to punish you. - Joel 2:13

  • You threw me into the ocean depths, and I sank down to the heart of the sea. I was buried beneath your wild and stormy waves. - Jonah 2:3

  • Soon the city is an empty shambles, stripped of its wealth. Hearts melt in horror, and knees shake. The people stand aghast, their faces pale and trembling. - Nahum 2:10

  • Will you let them get away with this forever? Will they succeed forever in their heartless conquests? - Habakkuk 1:17

  • They made their hearts as hard as stone, so they could not hear the law or the messages that the LORD Almighty had sent them by his Spirit through the earlier prophets. That is why the LORD Almighty was so angry with them. - Zechariah 7:12

  • For as Jonah was in the belly of the great fish for three days and three nights, so I, the Son of Man, will be in the heart of the earth for three days and three nights. - Matthew 12:40
