  • The LORD your God will make you successful in everything you do. He will give you many children and numerous livestock, and your fields will produce abundant harvests, for the LORD will delight in being good to you as he was to your ancestors. - Deuteronomy 30:9


  • Now it was the harvest season, and the Jordan was overflowing its banks. But as soon as the feet of the priests who were carrying the Ark touched the water at the river's edge, - Joshua 3:15


  • The very next day they began to eat unleavened bread and roasted grain harvested from the land. - Joshua 5:11


  • During the annual harvest festival at Shechem, held in the temple of the local god, the wine flowed freely, and everyone began cursing Abimelech. - Judges 9:27


  • Later on, during the wheat harvest, Samson took a young goat as a present to his wife. He intended to sleep with her, but her father wouldn't let him in. - Judges 15:1


  • So Naomi returned from Moab, accompanied by her daughter-in-law Ruth, the young Moabite woman. They arrived in Bethlehem at the beginning of the barley harvest. - Ruth 1:22


  • So Ruth went out to gather grain behind the harvesters. And as it happened, she found herself working in a field that belonged to Boaz, the relative of her father-in-law, Elimelech. - Ruth 2:3


  • While she was there, Boaz arrived from Bethlehem and greeted the harvesters. "The LORD be with you!" he said. "The LORD bless you!" the harvesters replied. - Ruth 2:4


  • She asked me this morning if she could gather grain behind the harvesters. She has been hard at work ever since, except for a few minutes' rest over there in the shelter." - Ruth 2:7


  • See which part of the field they are harvesting, and then follow them. I have warned the young men not to bother you. And when you are thirsty, help yourself to the water they have drawn from the well." - Ruth 2:9


  • At lunchtime Boaz called to her, "Come over here and help yourself to some of our food. You can dip your bread in the wine if you like." So she sat with his harvesters, and Boaz gave her food--more than she could eat. - Ruth 2:14


  • Then Ruth said, "What's more, Boaz even told me to come back and stay with his harvesters until the entire harvest is completed." - Ruth 2:21


  • "This is wonderful!" Naomi exclaimed. "Do as he said. Stay with his workers right through the whole harvest. You will be safe there, unlike in other fields." - Ruth 2:22


  • So Ruth worked alongside the women in Boaz's fields and gathered grain with them until the end of the barley harvest. Then she worked with them through the wheat harvest, too. But all the while she lived with her mother-in-law. - Ruth 2:23


  • The people of Beth-shemesh were harvesting wheat in the valley, and when they saw the Ark, they were overjoyed! - 1 Samuel 6:13


  • Some will be commanders of his troops, while others will be slave laborers. Some will be forced to plow in his fields and harvest his crops, while others will make his weapons and chariot equipment. - 1 Samuel 8:12


  • He will take a tenth of your harvest and distribute it among his officers and attendants. - 1 Samuel 8:15
