  • When Araunah saw the king and his men coming toward him, he came forward and bowed before the king with his face to the ground. - 2 Samuel 24:20


  • That same day the man of God gave a sign to prove his message, and he said, "The LORD has promised to give this sign: This altar will split apart, and its ashes will be poured out on the ground." - 1 Kings 13:3


  • As Obadiah was walking along, he saw Elijah coming toward him. Obadiah recognized him at once and fell to the ground before him. "Is it really you, my lord Elijah?" he asked. - 1 Kings 18:7


  • So Ahab prepared a feast. But Elijah climbed to the top of Mount Carmel and fell to the ground and prayed. - 1 Kings 18:42


  • Then Elijah folded his cloak together and struck the water with it. The river divided, and the two of them went across on dry ground! - 2 Kings 2:8


  • But when she came to the man of God at the mountain, she fell to the ground before him and caught hold of his feet. Gehazi began to push her away, but the man of God said, "Leave her alone. Something is troubling her deeply, and the LORD has not told me what it is." - 2 Kings 4:27


  • "What's the matter, my lord?" Hazael asked him. Elisha replied, "I know the terrible things you will do to the people of Israel. You will burn their fortified cities, kill their young men, dash their children to the ground, and rip open their pregnant women!" - 2 Kings 8:12


  • So they seized her and led her out to the gate where horses enter the palace grounds, and she was killed there. - 2 Kings 11:16


  • Now pick up the other arrows and strike them against the ground." So the king picked them up and struck the ground three times. - 2 Kings 13:18


  • But the man of God was angry with him. "You should have struck the ground five or six times!" he exclaimed. "Then you would have beaten Aram until they were entirely destroyed. Now you will be victorious only three times." - 2 Kings 13:19


  • The king removed the Asherah pole from the LORD's Temple and took it outside Jerusalem to the Kidron Valley, where he burned it. Then he ground the pole to dust and threw the dust in the public cemetery. - 2 Kings 23:6


  • But Eleazar and David held their ground in the middle of the field and beat back the Philistines. So the LORD saved them by giving them a great victory. - 1 Chronicles 11:14


  • There was also Benaiah son of Jehoiada, a valiant warrior from Kabzeel. He did many heroic deeds, which included killing two of Moab's mightiest warriors. Another time he chased a lion down into a pit. Then, despite the snow and slippery ground, he caught the lion and killed it. - 1 Chronicles 11:22


  • David looked up and saw the angel of the LORD standing between heaven and earth with his sword drawn, stretched out over Jerusalem. So David and the leaders of Israel put on sackcloth to show their distress and fell down with their faces to the ground. - 1 Chronicles 21:16


  • When Araunah saw the king approaching, he left his threshing floor and bowed to the ground before David. - 1 Chronicles 21:21


  • When all the people of Israel saw the fire coming down and the glorious presence of the LORD filling the Temple, they fell face down on the ground and worshiped and praised the LORD, saying, "He is so good! His faithful love endures forever!" - 2 Chronicles 7:3


  • Solomon moved his wife, Pharaoh's daughter, from the City of David to the new palace he had built for her. He said, "My wife must not live in King David's palace, for the Ark of the LORD has been there, and it is holy ground." - 2 Chronicles 8:11
