(Read Ground Part 1 First)

  • "Of the small animals that scurry or creep on the ground, these are unclean for you: the mole, the mouse, the great lizard of all varieties, - Leviticus 11:29

  • "Consider detestable any animal that scurries along the ground; such animals may never be eaten. - Leviticus 11:41

  • After all, I, the LORD, am your God. You must be holy because I am holy. So do not defile yourselves by touching any of these animals that scurry along the ground. - Leviticus 11:44

  • It is the same with your grape crop--do not strip every last bunch of grapes from the vines, and do not pick up the grapes that fall to the ground. Leave them for the poor and the foreigners who live among you, for I, the LORD, am your God. - Leviticus 19:10

  • The people gathered it from the ground and made flour by grinding it with hand mills or pounding it in mortars. Then they boiled it in a pot and made it into flat cakes. These cakes tasted like they had been cooked in olive oil. - Numbers 11:8

  • Now the LORD sent a wind that brought quail from the sea and let them fall into the camp and all around it! For many miles in every direction from the camp there were quail flying about three feet above the ground.*1 - Numbers 11:31

  • Moses and Aaron turned away from the people and went to the entrance of the Tabernacle,* where they fell face down on the ground. Then the glorious presence of the LORD appeared to them,2 - Numbers 20:6

  • Then the LORD opened Balaam's eyes, and he saw the angel of the LORD standing in the roadway with a drawn sword in his hand. Balaam fell face down on the ground before him. - Numbers 22:31

  • So I raised the stone tablets and dashed them to the ground. I smashed them before your very eyes. - Deuteronomy 9:17

  • I took your sin--the calf you had made--and I melted it in the fire and ground it into fine dust. I threw the dust into the stream that cascades down the mountain. - Deuteronomy 9:21
