(Read Grave Part 1 First)

  • My enemies cannot speak one truthful word. Their deepest desire is to destroy others. Their talk is foul, like the stench from an open grave. Their speech is filled with flattery. - Psalms 5:9

  • For in death, who remembers you? Who can praise you from the grave? - Psalms 6:5

  • The wicked will go down to the grave.* This is the fate of all the nations who ignore God.3 - Psalms 9:17

  • The grave is their eternal home, where they will stay forever. They may name their estates after themselves, but they leave their wealth to others. - Psalms 49:11

  • Like sheep, they are led to the grave, where death will be their shepherd. In the morning the godly will rule over them. Their bodies will rot in the grave, far from their grand estates. - Psalms 49:14

  • For when they die, they carry nothing with them. Their wealth will not follow them into the grave. - Psalms 49:17

  • Let death seize my enemies by surprise; let the grave* swallow them alive, for evil makes its home within them.1 - Psalms 55:15

  • Can those in the grave declare your unfailing love? In the place of destruction, can they proclaim your faithfulness? - Psalms 88:11
