  • (These two mountains are west of the Jordan River in the land of the Canaanites who live in the Jordan Valley,* near the town of Gilgal. They are located toward the west, not far from the oaks of Moreh.)1 - Deuteronomy 11:30


  • The people crossed the Jordan on the tenth day of the first month--the month that marked their exodus from Egypt.* They camped at Gilgal, east of Jericho.2 - Joshua 4:19


  • It was there at Gilgal that Joshua piled up the twelve stones taken from the Jordan River. - Joshua 4:20

  • A delegation from the tribe of Judah, led by Caleb son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite, came to Joshua at Gilgal. Caleb said to Joshua, "Remember what the LORD said to Moses, the man of God, about you and me when we were at Kadesh-barnea. - Joshua 14:6


  • From that point it went through the valley of Achor to Debir, turning north toward Gilgal, which is across from the slopes of Adummim on the south side of the valley. From there the border extended to the springs at En-shemesh and on to En-rogel. - Joshua 15:7


  • The angel of the LORD went up from Gilgal to Bokim with a message for the Israelites. He told them, "I brought you out of Egypt into this land that I swore to give your ancestors, and I said I would never break my covenant with you. - Judges 2:1
