(Read Friends Part 1 First)

  • saying in front of his friends and the Samarian army officers, "What does this bunch of poor, feeble Jews think they are doing? Do they think they can build the wall in a day if they offer enough sacrifices? Look at those charred stones they are pulling out of the rubbish and using again!" - Nehemiah 4:2

  • Then as I looked over the situation, I called together the leaders and the people and said to them, "Don't be afraid of the enemy! Remember the Lord, who is great and glorious, and fight for your friends, your families, and your homes!" - Nehemiah 4:14

  • However, he restrained himself and went on home. Then he gathered together his friends and Zeresh, his wife, - Esther 5:10

  • So Haman's wife, Zeresh, and all his friends suggested, "Set up a gallows* that stands seventy-five feet* tall, and in the morning ask the king to hang Mordecai on it.   • When Haman told his wife, Zeresh, and all his friends what had happened, they said, "Since Mordecai--this man who has humiliated you--is a Jew, you will never succeed in your plans against him. It will be fatal to continue to oppose him." - Esther 6:13

  • Three of Job's friends were Eliphaz the Temanite, Bildad the Shuhite, and Zophar the Naamathite. When they heard of the tragedy he had suffered, they got together and traveled from their homes to comfort and console him. - Job 2:11

  • Yet my friends laugh at me. I am a man who calls on God and receives an answer. I am a just and blameless man, yet they laugh at me. - Job 12:4

  • Neither his friends nor his family will ever see him again. - Job 20:9

  • Job's three friends refused to reply further to him because he kept insisting on his innocence. - Job 32:1

  • He was also angry with Job's three friends because they had condemned God* by their inability to answer Job's arguments.1 - Job 32:3

  • He will declare to his friends, `I sinned, but it was not worth it. - Job 33:27
