(Read Father Part 1 First)

  • I don't speak on my own authority. The Father who sent me gave me his own instructions as to what I should say. - John 12:49

  • Before the Passover celebration, Jesus knew that his hour had come to leave this world and return to his Father. He now showed the disciples the full extent of his love.*1 - John 13:1

  • Jesus told him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me. - John 14:6

  • Philip said, "Lord, show us the Father and we will be satisfied." - John 14:8

  • Jesus replied, "Philip, don't you even yet know who I am, even after all the time I have been with you? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father! So why are you asking to see him? - John 14:9

  • Don't you believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words I say are not my own, but my Father who lives in me does his work through me. - John 14:10

  • Just believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me. Or at least believe because of what you have seen me do. - John 14:11

  • "The truth is, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father. - John 14:12

  • You can ask for anything in my name, and I will do it, because the work of the Son brings glory to the Father. - John 14:13

  • And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor,* who will never leave you.2 - John 14:16

  • When I am raised to life again, you will know that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you. - John 14:20

  • Those who obey my commandments are the ones who love me. And because they love me, my Father will love them, and I will love them. And I will reveal myself to each one of them." - John 14:21
