  • "If you want to be my follower you must love me more than* your own father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters--yes, more than your own life. Otherwise, you cannot be my disciple.3 - Luke 14:26

  • The younger son told his father, `I want my share of your estate now, instead of waiting until you die.' So his father agreed to divide his wealth between his sons. - Luke 15:12

  • "The rich man replied, `No, Father Abraham! But if someone is sent to them from the dead, then they will turn from their sins.' - Luke 16:30

  • But as for your question, you know the commandments: `Do not commit adultery. Do not murder. Do not steal. Do not testify falsely. Honor your father and mother.'* "1 - Luke 18:20

  • "And now I will send the Holy Spirit, just as my Father promised. But stay here in the city until the Holy Spirit comes and fills you with power from heaven." - Luke 24:49

  • So the Word became human and lived here on earth among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness.* And we have seen his glory, the glory of the only Son of the Father.1 - John 1:14

  • No one has ever seen God. But his only Son, who is himself God,* is near to the Father's heart; he has told us about him.3 - John 1:18

  • Then, going over to the people who sold doves, he told them, "Get these things out of here. Don't turn my Father's house into a marketplace!" - John 2:16

  • The Father loves his Son, and he has given him authority over everything. - John 3:35

  • Jesus replied, "Believe me, the time is coming when it will no longer matter whether you worship the Father here or in Jerusalem. - John 4:21
