  • "Peace and prosperity to you, your family, and everything you own! - 1 Samuel 25:6

  • Joab and his family are the guilty ones. May his family in every generation be cursed with a man who has open sores or leprosy* or who walks on crutches* or who dies by the sword or who begs for food!"3 - 2 Samuel 3:29


  • They arrived at Hebron and presented Ishbosheth's head to David. "Look!" they exclaimed. "Here is the head of Ishbosheth, the son of your enemy Saul who tried to kill you. Today the LORD has given you revenge on Saul and his entire family!" - 2 Samuel 4:8


  • Then all the tribes of Israel went to David at Hebron and told him, "We are all members of your family. - 2 Samuel 5:1


  • The Ark of the LORD remained there with the family of Obed-edom for three months, and the LORD blessed him and his entire household. - 2 Samuel 6:11


  • When David returned home to bless his family, Michal came out to meet him and said in disgust, "How glorious the king of Israel looked today! He exposed himself to the servant girls like any indecent person might do!" - 2 Samuel 6:20


  • David retorted to Michal, "I was dancing before the LORD, who chose me above your father and his family! He appointed me as the leader of Israel, the people of the LORD. So I am willing to act like a fool in order to show my joy in the LORD. - 2 Samuel 6:21


  • Then King David went in and sat before the LORD and prayed, "Who am I, O Sovereign LORD, and what is my family, that you have brought me this far? - 2 Samuel 7:18


  • "And now, O LORD God, do as you have promised concerning me and my family. Confirm it as a promise that will last forever. - 2 Samuel 7:25


  • And now, may it please you to bless me and my family so that our dynasty may continue forever before you. For when you grant a blessing to your servant, O Sovereign LORD, it is an eternal blessing!" - 2 Samuel 7:29


  • One day David began wondering if anyone in Saul's family was still alive, for he had promised Jonathan that he would show kindness to them. - 2 Samuel 9:1


  • The king then asked him, "Is anyone still alive from Saul's family? If so, I want to show God's kindness to them in any way I can." Ziba replied, "Yes, one of Jonathan's sons is still alive, but he is crippled." - 2 Samuel 9:3


  • Then the king summoned Saul's servant Ziba and said, "I have given your master's grandson everything that belonged to Saul and his family. - 2 Samuel 9:9


  • You and your sons and servants are to farm the land for him to produce food for his family. But Mephibosheth will live here at the palace with me." Ziba, who had fifteen sons and twenty servants, replied, - 2 Samuel 9:10


  • From this time on, the sword will be a constant threat to your family, because you have despised me by taking Uriah's wife to be your own. - 2 Samuel 12:10


  • Now the rest of the family is demanding, `Let us have your son. We will execute him for murdering his brother. He doesn't deserve to inherit his family's property.'
