  • But in midautumn of that year,* Ishmael son of Nethaniah and grandson of Elishama, who was of the royal family, went to Mizpah with ten men and assassinated Gedaliah and everyone with him, both Judeans and Babylonians.7 - 2 Kings 25:25

  • So this is the family line descended from Shem: Arphaxad, Shelah,*7 - 1 Chronicles 1:24

  • and the families of scribes living at Jabez--the Tirathites, Shimeathites, and Sucathites. All these were Kenites who descended from Hammath, the father of the family of Recab.*1 - 1 Chronicles 2:55

  • and their surrounding villages as far away as Baalath.* This was their territory, and these names are recorded in their family genealogy.6 - 1 Chronicles 4:33

  • The sons of Bela were Ezbon, Uzzi, Uzziel, Jerimoth, and Iri. These five warriors were the leaders of clans. The total number of men available for military service among their descendants was 22,034. All of them were listed in their family genealogy. - 1 Chronicles 7:7

  • According to their family genealogy, there were 20,200 men available for military service among their descendants, in addition to their clan leaders. - 1 Chronicles 7:9

  • Afterward Ephraim slept with his wife, and she became pregnant and gave birth to a son. Ephraim named him Beriah* because of the tragedy his family had suffered.2 - 1 Chronicles 7:23

  • One family that returned was that of Uthai son of Ammihud, son of Omri, son of Imri, son of Bani, a descendant of Perez son of Judah. - 1 Chronicles 9:4

  • Then all Israel went to David at Hebron and told him, "We are all members of your family. - 1 Chronicles 11:1

  • This included Jehoiada, leader of the family of Aaron, who had 3,700 under his command. - 1 Chronicles 12:27

  • This also included Zadok, a young warrior, with twenty-two members of his family who were all officers. - 1 Chronicles 12:28

  • The Ark of God remained there with the family of Obed-edom for three months, and the LORD blessed him and his entire household. - 1 Chronicles 13:14

  • Then all the people returned to their homes, and David returned home to bless his family. - 1 Chronicles 16:43

  • Then King David went in and sat before the LORD and prayed, "Who am I, O LORD God, and what is my family, that you have brought me this far? - 1 Chronicles 17:16

  • "And now, O LORD, do as you have promised concerning me and my family. May it be a promise that will last forever. - 1 Chronicles 17:23

  • And now, it has pleased you to bless me and my family so that our dynasty will continue forever before you. For when you grant a blessing, O LORD, it is an eternal blessing!" - 1 Chronicles 17:27

  • And David said to God, "I am the one who called for the census! I am the one who has sinned and done wrong! But these people are innocent--what have they done? O LORD my God, let your anger fall against me and my family, but do not destroy your people." - 1 Chronicles 21:17
