  • Why not? Because they were trying to get right with God by keeping the law and being good instead of by depending on faith. They stumbled over the great rock in their path. - Romans 9:32


  • But the way of getting right with God through faith says, "You don't need to go to heaven" (to find Christ and bring him down to help you).4 - Romans 10:6


  • Yet faith comes from listening to this message of good news--the Good News about Christ. - Romans 10:17


  • As God's messenger, I give each of you this warning: Be honest in your estimate of yourselves, measuring your value by how much faith God has given you. - Romans 12:3


  • God has given each of us the ability to do certain things well. So if God has given you the ability to prophesy, speak out when you have faith that God is speaking through you. - Romans 12:6


  • Accept Christians who are weak in faith, and don't argue with them about what they think is right or wrong. - Romans 14:1


  • You may have the faith to believe that there is nothing wrong with what you are doing, but keep it between yourself and God. Blessed are those who do not condemn themselves by doing something they know is all right. - Romans 14:22


  • But if people have doubts about whether they should eat something, they shouldn't eat it. They would be condemned for not acting in faith before God. If you do anything you believe is not right, you are sinning. - Romans 14:23


  • And now I make one more appeal, my dear brothers and sisters. Watch out for people who cause divisions and upset people's faith by teaching things that are contrary to what you have been taught. Stay away from them. - Romans 16:17


  • Now, a person who is put in charge as a manager must be faithful. - 1 Corinthians 4:2


  • What about me? Have I been faithful? Well, it matters very little what you or anyone else thinks. I don't even trust my own judgment on this point. - 1 Corinthians 4:3


  • So be careful not to jump to conclusions before the Lord returns as to whether or not someone is faithful. When the Lord comes, he will bring our deepest secrets to light and will reveal our private motives. And then God will give to everyone whatever praise is due. - 1 Corinthians 4:5


  • But remember that the temptations that come into your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will keep the temptation from becoming so strong that you can't stand up against it. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you will not give in to it. - 1 Corinthians 10:13


  • The Spirit gives special faith to another, and to someone else he gives the power to heal the sick. - 1 Corinthians 12:9


  • If I had the gift of prophecy, and if I knew all the mysteries of the future and knew everything about everything, but didn't love others, what good would I be? And if I had the gift of faith so that I could speak to a mountain and make it move, without love I would be no good to anybody. - 1 Corinthians 13:2


  • Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance. - 1 Corinthians 13:7


  • Now let me remind you, dear brothers and sisters,* of the Good News I preached to you before. You welcomed it then and still do now, for your faith is built on this wonderful message.1 - 1 Corinthians 15:1
