  • (Among Saul's men was Ahijah the priest, who was wearing the linen ephod. Ahijah was the son of Ahitub, Ichabod's brother. Ahitub was the son of Phinehas and the grandson of Eli, the priest of the LORD who had served at Shiloh.) No one realized that Jonathan had left the Israelite camp. - 1 Samuel 14:3


  • Then Saul shouted to Ahijah, "Bring the ephod here!" For at that time Ahijah was wearing the ephod in front of the Israelites.*2 - 1 Samuel 14:18


  • "I only have the sword of Goliath the Philistine, whom you killed in the valley of Elah," the priest replied. "It is wrapped in a cloth behind the ephod. Take that if you want it, for there is nothing else here." "There is nothing like it!" David replied. "Give it to me!" - 1 Samuel 21:9


  • Abiathar the priest went to Keilah with David, taking the ephod with him to get answers for David from the LORD. - 1 Samuel 23:6


  • But David learned of Saul's plan and told Abiathar the priest to bring the ephod and ask the LORD what he should do. - 1 Samuel 23:9


  • Then he said to Abiathar the priest, "Bring me the ephod!" So Abiathar brought it. - 1 Samuel 30:7
