(Read Disciple Part 1 First)

  • So we request that you seal the tomb until the third day. This will prevent his disciples from coming and stealing his body and then telling everyone he came back to life! If that happens, we'll be worse off than we were at first." - Matthew 27:64

  • And now, go quickly and tell his disciples he has been raised from the dead, and he is going ahead of you to Galilee. You will see him there. Remember, I have told you." - Matthew 28:7

  • The women ran quickly from the tomb. They were very frightened but also filled with great joy, and they rushed to find the disciples to give them the angel's message. - Matthew 28:8

  • They told the soldiers, "You must say, `Jesus' disciples came during the night while we were sleeping, and they stole his body.' - Matthew 28:13

  • Then the eleven disciples left for Galilee, going to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. - Matthew 28:16

  • Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. - Matthew 28:19

  • Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age." - Matthew 28:20

  • Jesus called out to them, "Come, be my disciples, and I will show you how to fish for people!" - Mark 1:17

  • After Jesus and his disciples left the synagogue, they went over to Simon and Andrew's home, and James and John were with them. - Mark 1:29

  • As he walked along, he saw Levi son of Alphaeus sitting at his tax-collection booth. "Come, be my disciple," Jesus said to him. So Levi got up and followed him. - Mark 2:14

  • That night Levi invited Jesus and his disciples to be his dinner guests, along with his fellow tax collectors and many other notorious sinners. (There were many people of this kind among the crowds that followed Jesus.) - Mark 2:15

  • But when some of the teachers of religious law who were Pharisees* saw him eating with people like that, they said to his disciples, "Why does he eat with such scum*?"1 - Mark 2:16

  • John's disciples and the Pharisees sometimes fasted. One day some people came to Jesus and asked, "Why do John's disciples and the Pharisees fast, but your disciples don't fast?" - Mark 2:18

  • One Sabbath day as Jesus was walking through some grainfields, his disciples began breaking off heads of wheat. - Mark 2:23

  • Jesus and his disciples went out to the lake, followed by a huge crowd from all over Galilee, Judea, - Mark 3:7

  • Jesus instructed his disciples to bring around a boat and to have it ready in case he was crowded off the beach. - Mark 3:9
