(Read Disciple Part 1 First)

  • One day Jesus told his disciples a story to illustrate their need for constant prayer and to show them that they must never give up. - Luke 18:1

  • One day some parents brought their little children to Jesus so he could touch them and bless them, but the disciples told them not to bother him. - Luke 18:15

  • Then Jesus called for the children and said to the disciples, "Let the children come to me. Don't stop them! For the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these. - Luke 18:16

  • Jesus watched him go and then said to his disciples, "How hard it is for rich people to get into the Kingdom of God! - Luke 18:24

  • Gathering the twelve disciples around him, Jesus told them, "As you know, we are going to Jerusalem. And when we get there, all the predictions of the ancient prophets concerning the Son of Man will come true. - Luke 18:31

  • After telling this story, Jesus went on toward Jerusalem, walking ahead of his disciples. - Luke 19:28

  • As they came to the towns of Bethphage and Bethany, on the Mount of Olives, he sent two disciples ahead. - Luke 19:29

  • And the disciples simply replied, "The Lord needs it." - Luke 19:34

  • Then, with the crowds listening, he turned to his disciples and said, - Luke 20:45

  • Some of his disciples began talking about the beautiful stonework of the Temple and the memorial decorations on the walls. But Jesus said, - Luke 21:5

  • Then Satan entered into Judas Iscariot, who was one of the twelve disciples, - Luke 22:3

  • say to the owner, `The Teacher asks, Where is the guest room where I can eat the Passover meal with my disciples?' - Luke 22:11

  • So they rushed back to tell his eleven disciples--and everyone else--what had happened. - Luke 24:9

  • And within the hour they were on their way back to Jerusalem, where the eleven disciples and the other followers of Jesus were gathered. When they arrived, they were greeted with the report, - Luke 24:33

  • The following day, John was again standing with two of his disciples. - John 1:35

  • Then John's two disciples turned and followed Jesus. - John 1:37

  • The next day Jesus decided to go to Galilee. He found Philip and said to him, "Come, be my disciple." - John 1:43
