  • They are the kind who work their way into people's homes and win the confidence of* vulnerable women who are burdened with the guilt of sin and controlled by many desires.1 - 2 Timothy 3:6


  • For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to right teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever they want to hear. - 2 Timothy 4:3


  • Once we, too, were foolish and disobedient. We were misled by others and became slaves to many wicked desires and evil pleasures. Our lives were full of evil and envy. We hated others, and they hated us. - Titus 3:3


  • For the word of God is full of living power. It is sharper than the sharpest knife, cutting deep into our innermost thoughts and desires. It exposes us for what we really are. - Hebrews 4:12


  • Our great desire is that you will keep right on loving others as long as life lasts, in order to make certain that what you hope for will come true. - Hebrews 6:11


  • Temptation comes from the lure of our own evil desires. - James 1:14


  • These evil desires lead to evil actions, and evil actions lead to death. - James 1:15


  • What is causing the quarrels and fights among you? Isn't it the whole army of evil desires at war within you? - James 4:1


  • He gives us more and more strength to stand against such evil desires. As the Scriptures say, "God sets himself against the proud, but he shows favor to the humble."*2 - James 4:6


  • Dear brothers and sisters, you are foreigners and aliens here. So I warn you to keep away from evil desires because they fight against your very souls. - 1 Peter 2:11


  • And you won't spend the rest of your life chasing after evil desires, but you will be anxious to do the will of God. - 1 Peter 4:2


  • And by that same mighty power, he has given us all of his rich and wonderful promises. He has promised that you will escape the decadence all around you caused by evil desires and that you will share in his divine nature. - 2 Peter 1:4


  • He is especially hard on those who follow their own evil, lustful desires and who despise authority. These people are proud and arrogant, daring even to scoff at the glorious ones* without so much as trembling.2 - 2 Peter 2:10


  • They brag about themselves with empty, foolish boasting. With lustful desire as their bait, they lure back into sin those who have just escaped from such wicked living. - 2 Peter 2:18


  • First, I want to remind you that in the last days there will be scoffers who will laugh at the truth and do every evil thing they desire. - 2 Peter 3:3
