  • The angel of the LORD found Hagar beside a desert spring along the road to Shur. - Genesis 16:7

  • Then Moses led the people of Israel away from the Red Sea, and they moved out into the Shur Desert. They traveled in this desert for three days without water. - Exodus 15:22
