  • They will live in the land of Israel where their ancestors lived, the land I gave my servant Jacob. They and their children and their grandchildren after them will live there forever, generation after generation. And my servant David will be their prince forever. - Ezekiel 37:25


  • But afterward the people will return to the LORD their God and to David's descendant, their king.* They will come trembling in awe to the LORD, and they will receive his good gifts in the last days.4 - Hosea 3:5


  • You sing idle songs to the sound of the harp, and you fancy yourselves to be great musicians, as King David was. - Amos 6:5

  • This is a record of the ancestors of Jesus the Messiah, a descendant of King David and of Abraham: - Matthew 1:1


  • Jesse was the father of King David. David was the father of Solomon (his mother was Bathsheba, the widow of Uriah). - Matthew 1:6


  • All those listed above include fourteen generations from Abraham to King David, and fourteen from David's time to the Babylonian exile, and fourteen from the Babylonian exile to the Messiah. - Matthew 1:17


  • As he considered this, he fell asleep, and an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream. "Joseph, son of David," the angel said, "do not be afraid to go ahead with your marriage to Mary. For the child within her has been conceived by the Holy Spirit. - Matthew 1:20
