  • then this nation will continue forever. There will always be a descendant of David sitting on the throne here in Jerusalem. Kings and their officials will always ride among the people of Judah in chariots and on horses, and this city will remain forever. - Jeremiah 17:25


  • This is what the LORD says to the dynasty of David: Give justice to the people you judge! Help those who have been robbed; rescue them from their oppressors. Do what is right, or my anger will burn like an unquenchable fire because of all your sins. - Jeremiah 21:12


  • `Listen to this message from the LORD, you king of Judah, sitting on David's throne. Let your officials and your people listen, too. - Jeremiah 22:2


  • If you obey me, there will always be a descendant of David sitting on the throne here in Jerusalem. The king will ride through the palace gates in chariots and on horses, with his parade of officials and subjects. - Jeremiah 22:4


  • This is what the LORD says: Let the record show that this man Jehoiachin was childless, for none of his children will ever sit on the throne of David to rule in Judah. His life will amount to nothing." - Jeremiah 22:30


  • "For the time is coming," says the LORD, "when I will place a righteous Branch on King David's throne. He will be a King who rules with wisdom. He will do what is just and right throughout the land. - Jeremiah 23:5


  • But this is what the LORD says about the king who sits on David's throne and all those still living here in Jerusalem--your relatives who were not exiled to Babylon. - Jeremiah 29:16


  • For my people will serve the LORD their God and David their king, whom I will raise up for them. - Jeremiah 30:9

  • only then will my covenant with David, my servant, be broken. Only then will he no longer have a descendant to reign on his throne. The same is true for my covenant with the Levitical priests who minister before me. - Jeremiah 33:21


  • And as the stars cannot be counted and the sand on the seashores cannot be measured, so I will multiply the descendants of David, my servant, and the Levites who minister before me." - Jeremiah 33:22


  • I will never abandon the descendants of Jacob or David, my servant, or change the plan that David's descendants will rule the descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Instead, I will restore them to their land and have mercy on them." - Jeremiah 33:26


  • Now this is what the LORD says about King Jehoiakim of Judah: He will have no heirs to sit on the throne of David. His dead body will be thrown out to lie unburied--exposed to hot days and frosty nights. - Jeremiah 36:30


  • And I will set one shepherd over them, even my servant David. He will feed them and be a shepherd to them. - Ezekiel 34:23


  • And I, the LORD, will be their God, and my servant David will be a prince among my people. I, the LORD, have spoken! - Ezekiel 34:24


  • "My servant David will be their king, and they will have only one shepherd. They will obey my regulations and keep my laws. - Ezekiel 37:24
