(Read Daughter Part 1 First)

  • Sing, O daughter of Zion; shout aloud, O Israel! Be glad and rejoice with all your heart, O daughter of Jerusalem! - Zephaniah 3:14

  • But the breast and thigh that were lifted up may be eaten in any place that is ceremonially clean. These parts have been given to you and to your sons and daughters as your regular share of the peace offerings presented by the people of Israel. - Leviticus 10:14

  • If a woman gives birth to a daughter, she will be ceremonially defiled for two weeks, just as she is defiled during her menstrual period. She must then wait another sixty-six days to be purified from the blood of childbirth. - Leviticus 12:5

  • "When the time of purification is completed for either a son or a daughter, the woman must bring a year-old lamb for a whole burnt offering and a young pigeon or turtledove for a purification offering. She must take her offerings to the priest at the entrance of the Tabernacle.*1 - Leviticus 12:6

  • The priest will then present them to the LORD and make atonement for her. Then she will be ceremonially clean again after her bleeding at childbirth. These are the instructions to be followed after the birth of a son or a daughter. - Leviticus 12:7

  • "Do not have sexual intercourse with your sister or half sister, whether she is your father's daughter or your mother's daughter, whether she was brought up in the same family or somewhere else. - Leviticus 18:9

  • "Do not have sexual intercourse with your granddaughter, whether your son's daughter or your daughter's daughter; that would violate you. - Leviticus 18:10

  • Do not have sexual intercourse with the daughter of any of your father's wives; she is your half sister. - Leviticus 18:11

  • "Do not have sexual intercourse with both a woman and her daughter or marry both a woman and her granddaughter, whether her son's daughter or her daughter's daughter. They are close relatives, and to do this would be a horrible wickedness. - Leviticus 18:17

  • "Do not defile your daughter by making her a prostitute, or the land will be filled with promiscuity and detestable wickedness. - Leviticus 19:29

  • "If a man has sexual intercourse with his sister, the daughter of either his father or his mother, it is a terrible disgrace. Both of them must be publicly cut off from the community. Since the man has had intercourse with his sister, he will suffer the consequences of his guilt. - Leviticus 20:17

  • unless it is a close relative--mother or father, son or daughter, brother - Leviticus 21:2

  • If a priest's daughter becomes a prostitute, defiling her father's holiness as well as herself, she must be burned to death. - Leviticus 21:9

  • If a priest's daughter marries someone outside the priestly family, she may no longer eat the sacred offerings. - Leviticus 22:12

  • During the fight, this son of an Israelite woman blasphemed the LORD's name. So the man was brought to Moses for judgment. His mother's name was Shelomith. She was the daughter of Dibri of the tribe of Dan. - Leviticus 24:11

  • You will eat the flesh of your own sons and daughters. - Leviticus 26:29

  • Yes, I am giving you all these holy offerings that the people of Israel bring to the LORD. They are for you and your sons and daughters, to be eaten as your regular share. This is an unbreakable covenant* between the LORD and you and your descendants."5 - Numbers 18:19
