(Read Darkness Part 1 First)

  • For he has rescued us from the one who rules in the kingdom of darkness, and he has brought us into the Kingdom of his dear Son. - Colossians 1:13

  • For you are all children of the light and of the day; we don't belong to darkness and night. - 1 Thessalonians 5:5

  • You have not come to a physical mountain, to a place of flaming fire, darkness, gloom, and whirlwind, as the Israelites did at Mount Sinai when God gave them his laws. - Hebrews 12:18

  • But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are a kingdom of priests, God's holy nation, his very own possession. This is so you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light. - 1 Peter 2:9

  • For God did not spare even the angels when they sinned; he threw them into hell,* in gloomy caves* and darkness until the judgment day.1 - 2 Peter 2:4

  • These people are as useless as dried-up springs of water or as clouds blown away by the wind--promising much and delivering nothing. They are doomed to blackest darkness. - 2 Peter 2:17

  • This is the message he has given us to announce to you: God is light and there is no darkness in him at all. - 1 John 1:5

  • So we are lying if we say we have fellowship with God but go on living in spiritual darkness. We are not living in the truth. - 1 John 1:6

  • Yet it is also new. This commandment is true in Christ and is true among you, because the darkness is disappearing and the true light is already shining. - 1 John 2:8

  • If anyone says, "I am living in the light," but hates a Christian brother or sister,* that person is still living in darkness.2 - 1 John 2:9

  • Anyone who hates a Christian brother or sister is living and walking in darkness. Such a person is lost, having been blinded by the darkness. - 1 John 2:11

  • And I remind you of the angels who did not stay within the limits of authority God gave them but left the place where they belonged. God has kept them chained in prisons of darkness, waiting for the day of judgment. - 2 John 1:6

  • They are like wild waves of the sea, churning up the dirty foam of their shameful deeds. They are wandering stars, heading for everlasting gloom and darkness. - 2 John 1:13
