(Read Curse Part 1 First)

  • "Don't you remember, my people, how King Balak of Moab tried to have you cursed and how Balaam son of Beor blessed you instead? And remember your journey from Acacia* to Gilgal, when I, the LORD, did everything I could to teach you about my faithfulness."1 - Micah 6:5

  • Then he said to me, "This scroll contains the curse that is going out over the entire land. One side says that those who steal will be banished from the land; the other side says that those who swear falsely will be banished from the land. - Zechariah 5:3

  • And this is what the LORD Almighty says: I am sending this curse into the house of every thief and into the house of everyone who swears falsely by my name. And my curse will remain in that house until it is completely destroyed--even its timbers and stones." - Zechariah 5:4

  • Among the nations, Judah and Israel had become symbols of what it means to be cursed. But no longer! Now I will rescue you and make you both a symbol and a source of blessing! So don't be afraid or discouraged, but instead get on with rebuilding the Temple! - Zechariah 8:13

  • And Jerusalem will be filled, safe at last, never again to be cursed and destroyed. - Zechariah 14:11

  • Listen to me and take it to heart. Honor my name," says the LORD Almighty, "or I will bring a terrible curse against you. I will curse even the blessings you receive. Indeed, I have already cursed them, because you have not taken my warning seriously. - Malachi 2:2

  • You are under a curse, for your whole nation has been cheating me. - Malachi 3:9

  • His preaching will turn the hearts of parents* to their children, and the hearts of children to their parents. Otherwise I will come and strike the land with a curse."3 - Malachi 4:6

  • The next morning as they passed by the fig tree he had cursed, the disciples noticed it was withered from the roots. - Mark 11:20

  • Peter remembered what Jesus had said to the tree on the previous day and exclaimed, "Look, Teacher! The fig tree you cursed has withered!" - Mark 11:21
