(Read Curse Part 1 First)

  • and they cursed the God of heaven for their pains and sores. But they refused to repent of all their evil deeds. - Revelation 16:11


  • There was a terrible hailstorm, and hailstones weighing seventy-five pounds* fell from the sky onto the people below. They cursed God because of the hailstorm, which was a very terrible plague.1 - Revelation 16:21


  • "All who curse their father or mother must be put to death. They are guilty of a capital offense. - Leviticus 20:9


  • When he has presented her before the LORD, he must unbind her hair and place the offering of inquiry--the jealousy offering--in her hands to determine whether or not her husband's suspicions are justified. The priest will stand before her, holding the jar of bitter water that brings a curse to those who are guilty. - Numbers 5:18


  • The priest will put the woman under oath and say to her, "If no other man has slept with you, and you have not defiled yourself by being unfaithful, may you be immune from the effects of this bitter water that causes the curse. - Numbers 5:19


  • at this point the priest must put the woman under this oath--"then may the people see that the LORD's curse is upon you when he makes you infertile.*3 - Numbers 5:21


  • Now may this water that brings the curse enter your body and make you infertile.*" And the woman will be required to say, "Yes, let it be so."4 - Numbers 5:22


  • Then the priest will write these curses on a piece of leather and wash them off into the bitter water. - Numbers 5:23


  • He will then make the woman drink the bitter water, so it may bring on the curse and cause bitter suffering in cases of guilt. - Numbers 5:24


  • If she has defiled herself by being unfaithful to her husband, the water that brings the curse will cause bitter suffering. She will become infertile,* and her name will become a curse word among her people.5 - Numbers 5:27


  • Please come and curse them for me because they are so numerous. Then perhaps I will be able to conquer them and drive them from the land. I know that blessings fall on the people you bless. I also know that the people you curse are doomed." - Numbers 22:6


  • Balak's messengers, officials of both Moab and Midian, set out and took money with them to pay Balaam to curse Israel. They went to Balaam and urgently explained to him what Balak wanted. - Numbers 22:7


  • `A vast horde of people has come from Egypt and has spread out over the whole land. Come at once to curse them. Perhaps then I will be able to conquer them and drive them from the land.' " - Numbers 22:11


  • "Do not go with them," God told Balaam. "You are not to curse these people, for I have blessed them!" - Numbers 22:12


  • I will pay you well and do anything you ask of me. Just come and curse these people for me!" - Numbers 22:17


  • But how can I curse those whom God has not cursed? How can I condemn those whom the LORD has not condemned? - Numbers 23:8


  • Then King Balak demanded of Balaam, "What have you done to me? I brought you to curse my enemies. Instead, you have blessed them!" - Numbers 23:11
