(Read Covenant Part 1 First)

  • Say to them, `This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: Cursed is anyone who does not obey the terms of my covenant! - Jeremiah 11:3

  • Then the LORD said, "Broadcast this message in the streets of Jerusalem. Go from town to town throughout the land and say, `Remember the covenant your ancestors made, and do everything they promised. - Jeremiah 11:6

  • But your ancestors did not pay any attention; they would not even listen. Instead, they stubbornly followed their own evil desires. And because they refused to obey, I brought upon them all the curses described in our covenant.' " - Jeremiah 11:8

  • They have returned to the sins of their forefathers. They have refused to listen to me and are worshiping idols. Israel and Judah have both broken the covenant I made with their ancestors. - Jeremiah 11:10

  • For the sake of your own name, LORD, do not abandon us. Do not disgrace yourself and the throne of your glory. Do not break your covenant with us. Please don't forget us! - Jeremiah 14:21

  • And the answer will be, `Because they violated their covenant with the LORD their God by worshiping other gods.' " - Jeremiah 22:9

  • "The day will come," says the LORD, "when I will make a new covenant with the people of Israel and Judah. - Jeremiah 31:31

  • This covenant will not be like the one I made with their ancestors when I took them by the hand and brought them out of the land of Egypt. They broke that covenant, though I loved them as a husband loves his wife," says the LORD. - Jeremiah 31:32

  • "But this is the new covenant I will make with the people of Israel on that day," says the LORD. "I will put my laws in their minds, and I will write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people. - Jeremiah 31:33

  • "And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, promising not to stop doing good for them. I will put a desire in their hearts to worship me, and they will never leave me. - Jeremiah 32:40

  • "If you can break my covenant with the day and the night so that they do not come on their usual schedule, - Jeremiah 33:20

  • only then will my covenant with David, my servant, be broken. Only then will he no longer have a descendant to reign on his throne. The same is true for my covenant with the Levitical priests who minister before me. - Jeremiah 33:21

  • This message came to Jeremiah from the LORD after King Zedekiah made a covenant with the people, proclaiming freedom for the slaves. - Jeremiah 34:8

  • "This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: I made a covenant with your ancestors long ago when I rescued them from their slavery in Egypt. - Jeremiah 34:13

  • Recently you repented and did what was right, following my command. You freed your slaves and made a solemn covenant with me in my Temple. - Jeremiah 34:15

  • Because you have refused the terms of our covenant, I will cut you apart just as you cut apart the calf when you walked between its halves to solemnize your vows. - Jeremiah 34:18

  • They will ask the way to Jerusalem* and will start back home again. They will bind themselves to the LORD with an eternal covenant that will never again be broken.2 - Jeremiah 50:5
