(Read Comfort Part 1 First)

  • "But Abraham said to him, `Son, remember that during your lifetime you had everything you wanted, and Lazarus had nothing. So now he is here being comforted, and you are in anguish. - Luke 16:25

  • The church then had peace throughout Judea, Galilee, and Samaria, and it grew in strength and numbers. The believers were walking in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit. - Acts 9:31

  • But one who prophesies is helping others grow in the Lord, encouraging and comforting them. - 1 Corinthians 14:3

  • All praise to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. He is the source* of every mercy and the God who comforts us.2 - 2 Corinthians 1:3

  • He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When others are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us. - 2 Corinthians 1:4

  • So when we are weighed down with troubles, it is for your benefit and salvation! For when God comforts us, it is so that we, in turn, can be an encouragement to you. Then you can patiently endure the same things we suffer. - 2 Corinthians 1:6

  • We are confident that as you share in suffering, you will also share God's comfort. - 2 Corinthians 1:7

  • Now it is time to forgive him and comfort him. Otherwise he may become so discouraged that he won't be able to recover. - 2 Corinthians 2:7

  • Is there any encouragement from belonging to Christ? Any comfort from his love? Any fellowship together in the Spirit? Are your hearts tender and sympathetic? - Philippians 2:1

  • Jesus (the one we call Justus) also sends his greetings. These are the only Jewish Christians among my co-workers; they are working with me here for the Kingdom of God. And what a comfort they have been! - Colossians 4:11

  • So we have been greatly comforted, dear brothers and sisters,* in all of our own crushing troubles and suffering, because you have remained strong in your faith.1 - 1 Thessalonians 3:7

  • So comfort and encourage each other with these words. - 1 Thessalonians 4:18

  • May our Lord Jesus Christ and God our Father, who loved us and in his special favor gave us everlasting comfort and good hope, - 2 Thessalonians 2:16

  • comfort your hearts and give you strength in every good thing you do and say. - 2 Thessalonians 2:17

  • I myself have gained much joy and comfort from your love, my brother, because your kindness has so often refreshed the hearts of God's people. - Philemon 1:7
