(Read Cloud Part 1 First)

  • Then the LORD came down in a pillar of cloud and called out his own name, "the LORD," as Moses stood there in his presence. - Exodus 34:5


  • They sent up a large cloud of smoke from the town, - Judges 20:38


  • I live in terror now. They hold me in contempt, and my prosperity has vanished as a cloud before a strong wind. - Job 30:15


  • It is a day when the LORD's anger will be poured out. It is a day of terrible distress and anguish, a day of ruin and desolation, a day of darkness and gloom, of clouds, blackness, - Zephaniah 1:15


  • Then I saw the Son of Man* sitting on a white cloud. He had a gold crown on his head and a sharp sickle in his hand.2 - Revelation 14:14


  • Then an angel came from the Temple and called out in a loud voice to the one sitting on the cloud, "Use the sickle, for the time has come for you to harvest; the crop is ripe on the earth." - Revelation 14:15


  • So the one sitting on the cloud swung his sickle over the earth, and the whole earth was harvested. - Revelation 14:16


  • Then the cloud covered the Tabernacle, and the glorious presence of the LORD filled it. - Exodus 40:34


  • Moses was no longer able to enter the Tabernacle because the cloud had settled down over it, and the Tabernacle was filled with the awesome glory of the LORD. - Exodus 40:35


  • Now whenever the cloud lifted from the Tabernacle and moved, the people of Israel would set out on their journey, following it. - Exodus 40:36


  • But if the cloud stayed, they would stay until it moved again. - Exodus 40:37


  • The cloud of the LORD rested on the Tabernacle during the day, and at night there was fire in the cloud so all the people of Israel could see it. This continued throughout all their journeys. - Exodus 40:38


  • The LORD said to Moses, "Warn your brother Aaron not to enter the Most Holy Place behind the inner curtain whenever he chooses; the penalty for intrusion is death. For the Ark's cover--the place of atonement--is there, and I myself am present in the cloud over the atonement cover. - Leviticus 16:2


  • There in the LORD's presence, he will put the incense on the burning coals so that a cloud of incense will rise over the Ark's cover--the place of atonement--that rests on the Ark of the Covenant.* If he follows these instructions, he will not die.4 - Leviticus 16:13


  • The Tabernacle was set up, and on that day the cloud covered it.* Then from evening until morning the cloud over the Tabernacle appeared to be a pillar of fire.5 - Numbers 9:15


  • This was the regular pattern--at night the cloud changed to the appearance of fire. - Numbers 9:16


  • When the cloud lifted from over the sacred tent, the people of Israel followed it. And wherever the cloud settled, the people of Israel camped. - Numbers 9:17
