(Read Church Part 1 First)

  • The church sent the delegates to Jerusalem, and they stopped along the way in Phoenicia and Samaria to visit the believers.* They told them--much to everyone's joy--that the Gentiles, too, were being converted.2 - Acts 15:3

  • When they arrived in Jerusalem, Paul and Barnabas were welcomed by the whole church, including the apostles and elders. They reported on what God had been doing through their ministry. - Acts 15:4

  • So the apostles and church elders got together to decide this question. - Acts 15:6

  • Then the apostles and elders and the whole church in Jerusalem chose delegates, and they sent them to Antioch of Syria with Paul and Barnabas to report on this decision. The men chosen were two of the church leaders*--Judas (also called Barsabbas) and Silas.8 - Acts 15:22

  • And there was great joy throughout the church that day as they read this encouraging message. - Acts 15:31

  • So they traveled throughout Syria and Cilicia to strengthen the churches there. - Acts 15:41

  • So the churches were strengthened in their faith and grew daily in numbers. - Acts 16:5

  • The next stop was at the port of Caesarea. From there he went up and visited the church at Jerusalem* and then went back to Antioch.5 - Acts 18:22

  • But when we landed at Miletus, he sent a message to the elders of the church at Ephesus, asking them to come down to meet him. - Acts 20:17

  • "And now beware! Be sure that you feed and shepherd God's flock--his church, purchased with his blood--over whom the Holy Spirit has appointed you as elders.*7 - Acts 20:28

  • The next day Paul went in with us to meet with James, and all the elders of the Jerusalem church were present. - Acts 21:18

  • So then, let us aim for harmony in the church and try to build each other up. - Romans 14:19

  • My ambition has always been to preach the Good News where the name of Christ has never been heard, rather than where a church has already been started by someone else. - Romans 15:20

  • Our sister Phoebe, a deacon in the church in Cenchrea, will be coming to see you soon. - Romans 16:1

  • In fact, they risked their lives for me. I am not the only one who is thankful to them; so are all the Gentile churches. - Romans 16:4

  • Please give my greetings to the church that meets in their home. Greet my dear friend Epenetus. He was the very first person to become a Christian in the province of Asia. - Romans 16:5

  • Greet each other in Christian love.* All the churches of Christ send you their greetings.4 - Romans 16:16
