(Read Christian Part 1 First)

  • And now, brothers and sisters, I want you to know what will happen to the Christians who have died so you will not be full of sorrow like people who have no hope. - 1 Thessalonians 4:13

  • For since we believe that Jesus died and was raised to life again, we also believe that when Jesus comes, God will bring back with Jesus all the Christians who have died. - 1 Thessalonians 4:14

  • For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a commanding shout, with the call of the archangel, and with the trumpet call of God. First, all the Christians who have died will rise from their graves. - 1 Thessalonians 4:16

  • Greet all the brothers and sisters in Christian love.*2 - 1 Thessalonians 5:26

  • And now, dear brothers and sisters, we give you this command with the authority of our Lord Jesus Christ: Stay away from any Christian* who lives in idleness and doesn't follow the tradition of hard work we gave you.3 - 2 Thessalonians 3:6

  • Don't think of them as enemies, but speak to them as you would to a Christian who needs to be warned. - 2 Thessalonians 3:15

  • The purpose of my instruction is that all the Christians there would be filled with love that comes from a pure heart, a clear conscience, and sincere faith. - 1 Timothy 1:5

  • An elder must not be a new Christian, because he might be proud of being chosen so soon, and the Devil will use that pride to make him fall.*3 - 1 Timothy 3:6

  • They must be committed to the revealed truths of the Christian faith and must live with a clear conscience. - 1 Timothy 3:9

  • She must be well respected by everyone because of the good she has done. Has she brought up her children well? Has she been kind to strangers? Has she served other Christians humbly?* Has she helped those who are in trouble? Has she always been ready to do good?4 - 1 Timothy 5:10

  • If a Christian woman has relatives who are widows, she must take care of them and not put the responsibility on the church. Then the church can care for widows who are truly alone. - 1 Timothy 5:16

  • Christians who are slaves should give their masters full respect so that the name of God and his teaching will not be shamed. - 1 Timothy 6:1

  • If your master is a Christian, that is no excuse for being disrespectful. You should work all the harder because you are helping another believer* by your efforts. Teach these truths, Timothy, and encourage everyone to obey them.1 - 1 Timothy 6:2

  • As you know, all the Christians who came here from the province of Asia have deserted me; even Phygelus and Hermogenes are gone. - 2 Timothy 1:15

  • You have been Christians a long time now, and you ought to be teaching others. Instead, you need someone to teach you again the basic things a beginner must learn about the Scriptures.* You are like babies who drink only milk and cannot eat solid food.3 - Hebrews 5:12

  • And a person who is living on milk isn't very far along in the Christian life and doesn't know much about doing what is right. - Hebrews 5:13

  • So let us stop going over the basics of Christianity* again and again. Let us go on instead and become mature in our understanding. Surely we don't need to start all over again with the importance of turning away from evil deeds and placing our faith in God.1 - Hebrews 6:1
