(Read Christian Part 1 First)

  • You see, this is what can happen: Weak Christians who think it is wrong to eat this food will see you eating in the temple of an idol. You know there's nothing wrong with it, but they will be encouraged to violate their conscience by eating food that has been dedicated to the idol. - 1 Corinthians 8:10

  • So because of your superior knowledge, a weak Christian,* for whom Christ died, will be destroyed.1 - 1 Corinthians 8:11

  • And you are sinning against Christ when you sin against other Christians* by encouraging them to do something they believe is wrong.2 - 1 Corinthians 8:12

  • If what I eat is going to make another Christian sin, I will never eat meat again as long as I live--for I don't want to make another Christian stumble. - 1 Corinthians 8:13

  • Don't we have the right to bring a Christian wife* along with us as the other disciples and the Lord's brothers and Peter* do?3 - 1 Corinthians 9:5

  • Wasn't he also speaking to us? Of course he was. Just as farm workers who plow fields and thresh the grain expect a share of the harvest, Christian workers should be paid by those they serve. - 1 Corinthians 9:10

  • Don't think only of your own good. Think of other Christians and what is best for them. - 1 Corinthians 10:24

  • If someone who isn't a Christian asks you home for dinner, go ahead; accept the invitation if you want to. Eat whatever is offered to you and don't ask any questions about it. Your conscience should not be bothered by this. - 1 Corinthians 10:27

  • I am so glad, dear friends, that you always keep me in your thoughts and you are following the Christian teaching I passed on to you. - 1 Corinthians 11:2

  • It will happen in a moment, in the blinking of an eye, when the last trumpet is blown. For when the trumpet sounds, the Christians who have died* will be raised with transformed bodies. And then we who are living will be transformed so that we will never die.3 - 1 Corinthians 15:52

  • Now about the money being collected for the Christians in Jerusalem: You should follow the same procedures I gave to the churches in Galatia. - 1 Corinthians 16:1

  • You know that Stephanas and his household were the first to become Christians in Greece,* and they are spending their lives in service to other Christians. I urge you, dear brothers and sisters,*2 - 1 Corinthians 16:15

  • All the brothers and sisters here have asked me to greet you for them. Greet each other in Christian love.*4 - 1 Corinthians 16:20

  • This letter is from Paul, appointed by God to be an apostle of Christ Jesus, and from our dear brother Timothy. We are writing to God's church in Corinth and to all the Christians throughout Greece.*1 - 2 Corinthians 1:1

  • What this means is that those who become Christians become new persons. They are not the same anymore, for the old life is gone. A new life has begun! - 2 Corinthians 5:17

  • They begged us again and again for the gracious privilege of sharing in the gift for the Christians in Jerusalem. - 2 Corinthians 8:4

  • I really don't need to write to you about this gift for the Christians in Jerusalem.*1 - 2 Corinthians 9:1
