  • We don't go around preaching about ourselves; we preach Christ Jesus, the Lord. All we say about ourselves is that we are your servants because of what Jesus has done for us. - 2 Corinthians 4:5


  • For God, who said, "Let there be light in the darkness," has made us understand that this light is the brightness of the glory of God that is seen in the face of Jesus Christ. - 2 Corinthians 4:6


  • All of these things are for your benefit. And as God's grace brings more and more people to Christ, there will be great thanksgiving, and God will receive more and more glory. - 2 Corinthians 4:15


  • For we must all stand before Christ to be judged. We will each receive whatever we deserve for the good or evil we have done in our bodies. - 2 Corinthians 5:10


  • Whatever we do, it is because Christ's love controls us.* Since we believe that Christ died for everyone, we also believe that we have all died to the old life we used to live.*1 - 2 Corinthians 5:14


  • He died for everyone so that those who receive his new life will no longer live to please themselves. Instead, they will live to please Christ, who died and was raised for them. - 2 Corinthians 5:15


  • So we have stopped evaluating others by what the world thinks about them. Once I mistakenly thought of Christ that way, as though he were merely a human being. How differently I think about him now! - 2 Corinthians 5:16


  • All this newness of life is from God, who brought us back to himself through what Christ did. And God has given us the task of reconciling people to him. - 2 Corinthians 5:18


  • For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people's sins against them. This is the wonderful message he has given us to tell others. - 2 Corinthians 5:19


  • We are Christ's ambassadors, and God is using us to speak to you. We urge you, as though Christ himself were here pleading with you, "Be reconciled to God!" - 2 Corinthians 5:20


  • For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ. - 2 Corinthians 5:21


  • What harmony can there be between Christ and the Devil*? How can a believer be a partner with an unbeliever?4 - 2 Corinthians 6:15


  • You know how full of love and kindness our Lord Jesus Christ was. Though he was very rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, so that by his poverty he could make you rich. - 2 Corinthians 8:9


  • If anyone asks about Titus, say that he is my partner who works with me to help you. And these brothers are representatives* of the churches. They are splendid examples of those who bring glory to Christ.5 - 2 Corinthians 8:23


  • You will be glorifying God through your generous gifts. For your generosity to them will prove that you are obedient to the Good News of Christ. - 2 Corinthians 9:13


  • Now I, Paul, plead with you. I plead with the gentleness and kindness that Christ himself would use, even though some of you say I am bold in my letters but timid in person. - 2 Corinthians 10:1


  • With these weapons we break down every proud argument that keeps people from knowing God. With these weapons we conquer their rebellious ideas, and we teach them to obey Christ. - 2 Corinthians 10:5
