(Read Children Part 1 First)

  • But tormented by thirst, they continued to complain, "Why did you ever take us out of Egypt? Why did you bring us here? We, our children, and our livestock will all die!" - Exodus 17:3

  • You must never worship or bow down to them, for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God who will not share your affection with any other god! I do not leave unpunished the sins of those who hate me, but I punish the children for the sins of their parents to the third and fourth generations. - Exodus 20:5

  • "If his master gave him a wife while he was a slave, and they had sons or daughters, then the man will be free in the seventh year, but his wife and children will still belong to his master. - Exodus 21:4

  • "Give the Israelites these instructions, which apply to those who are Israelites by birth as well as to the foreigners living among you. If any among them devote their children as burnt offerings to Molech, they must be stoned to death by people of the community. - Leviticus 20:2

  • I myself will turn against them and cut them off from the community, because they have defiled my sanctuary and profaned my holy name by giving their children to Molech. - Leviticus 20:3

  • And if the people of the community ignore this offering of children to Molech and refuse to execute the guilty parents, - Leviticus 20:4

  • However, if the priest buys slaves with his own money, they may eat of his food. And if his slaves have children, they also may share his food. - Leviticus 22:11

  • But if she becomes a widow or is divorced and has no children to support her, and she returns to live in her father's home, she may eat her father's food again. But other than these exceptions, only members of the priests' families are allowed to eat the sacred offerings. - Leviticus 22:13
